Woke up a little late today, and so had a little less time to explore, but we took the subway to the High Line, and walked it from around where the Vessel and Edge are to Chelsea Market. The integration of nature and railroads within the city, with pockets of trees and sculpture was beautiful, and maybe another time I would want to walk it from beginning to end.
We wanted to go to Alf Bakery, but it was mysteriously closed, and so we decided to start early on our way to the UN headquarters, and find something to eat around there. Emerging from the subway station, we found another bagel place that I recalled from last trip to New York City, Ess-a-bagel, and got more real bagels boiled and baked. They ran out of blueberry, but we got cinnamon raisin and apple cinnamon cream cheese, and I got to try my dad’s Reuben bagel sandwich. Yummy, especially after a lot of walking!
to be continued when i remember hehehehehehehe
